Who we are

Underplayed (underplayedgames.com) is a small independent publication featuring underplayed Steam games in short videos on our own YouTube, Instagram and TikTok accounts (@underplayedgames). Contact: contact at this domain.

This website

This site is a static page of links. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or trackers, and collects no visitor data of any kind. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.

Our publishing tools

We operate internal, non-commercial software that connects to the official APIs of YouTube, Instagram and TikTok for exactly two purposes: publishing our own videos to our own accounts, and reading our own content's statistics (views, likes, comments and similar counts) for internal reporting.

These tools are authorized only by our own accounts. They do not collect, store, process or share any data about other users, viewers, or any third party. Statistics about our own posts are stored privately and are not sold, shared, or transferred to anyone.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access can be revoked at any time from each platform's security settings.

YouTube API Services

Our publishing tool uses YouTube API Services to upload our own videos to our own channel and to read our own videos' statistics. By using it we agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; the Google Privacy Policy also applies.

What is stored, and deletion: the only YouTube data stored is statistics about our own channel's videos (view, like and comment counts and retention metrics), kept in a private ledger on our own server and refreshed on a fixed schedule. No data about viewers or any other person is collected or stored. Stored statistics can be deleted at any time by the account owner by removing the ledger entries; authorization can be revoked at any time via Google security settings, which immediately ends all API access.
